Wave reflections and systemic vascular resistance are stronger determinants of pulse pressure amplification than aortic stiffness in drug-na ïve hypertensives.
Conclusion: This study shows that among newly-diagnosed drug-naïve hypertensives, elevated wave reflections and systemic vascular resistance are stronger determinants of PP amplification than aortic stiffness.
