Lemkes et al (N Engl J Med 2019;380:1397, PMID 30883057) randomized 552 patients with cardiac arrest without ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) to immediate or delayed coronary angiography. The primary end point was survival at 90 days. Secondary end points included survival at 90 days with good cerebral performance, myocardial injury, duration of catecholamine support, shock, ventricular tachycardia, mechanical ventilation, major bleeding, kidney injury, need for renal replacement therapy, time to target temperature, and neurologic status at discharge from the intensive care unit.
