In Response to “Regional Cerebral Oxygen Saturation and Mortality in Patients with Left Ventricular Assist Device”

We want to thank Dr. Cakir et al. for their interest in our recent study on regional cerebral oxygen saturation and clinical outcomes of left ventricular assist device patients.1 They raised an important point on the complex nature of the human brain and the need for delicate monitoring technology.
