Lung dendritic cells correlate to small airway abnormality & lung CD4+ T cells: SPIROMICS bronchoscopy study
Conclusions: These data suggest that lung cDC may limit SAA via beneficial T cell polarization occurring only in ex-smokers. Confirming differences based on smoking status in DC-CD4+ T cell interactions in the lungs will require functional assessments, which are planned in SPIROMICS II.
