Steroid inhaler dose reduction in comparison with montelukast discontinuation in asthma patients controlled by steroid inhaler and montelukast
Conclusion: Asthma control could be maintained in more than 55% of WCA patients after step down. Regarding potential long term steroid inhaler adverse effects, steroid dose reduction with montelukast continuation could be tried in WCA patients.
