Septicemic listeriosis: An emerging food-borne illness in India ?

We report a case of sporadic food-borne listeriosis, in an otherwise healthy individual presenting with meningo-encephalitis. Prompt identification and appropriate antibiotic therapy led to a favorable outcome.
