467 Correlation between serum C-reactive protein and haemoglobin levels in patients with hidradenitis suppurativa

Anemia of inflammation has been associated with Crohns disease, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and other inflammatory diseases. The role of IL 6 and Hepcidin has been studied in these conditions and it has been shown that ferritin is a marker of inflammation rather than anemia in these patients. However, little is known in regards to anemia in Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the correlation between haemoglobin (HB) and acute phase proteins as markers of inflammation in patients with HS.
