Request for Proposals: Mentoring in Active Learning and Teaching Up to $2,000 per Fellow / $500 mentor stipend up to 4 awards; deadline December 1 A key factor for achieving Vision and Change for improved STEM teaching (http://www.visionandchange.org) is the practical support of instructors seeking to acquire, apply, and assess effective ways to achieve active learning when they teach. Immersion and mentoring experiences are particularly helpful to this process (Sirum et al., 2010; Murray et al., 2011; Vergara et al., 2013).  Therefore, the Mentoring Active Learning and Teaching (MALT) program will fund up to $2,000 for individual undergraduate biology educators to visit, observe, and work with mentors skilled in active learning strategies and evidence-based teaching that align with Vision and Change principles.
