Mitchell B. Max Award for Neuropathic Pain Sponsored by the AAN and endowed by the United States Cancer Pain Relief Committee, the Mayday Fund, and friends of Dr. Mitchell Max This award recognizes an individual for outstanding work in the field of neuropathic pain for either a single contribution or for lifetime achievement. Presentation Recipient is expected to present a 10-minute lecture during a scientific session at the 67th AAN Annual Meeting. Recipient will receive: -- Certificate of recognition and $1,000 prize -- Complimentary registration for 67th Annual Meeting -- Recognition at 2015 Awards Luncheon at 67th Annual Meeting Eligibility Must be actively engaged in neuropathic pain research Application Procedure Applicants should submit one complete set of the following materials: 1. Completed application form 2. Current curriculum vitae 3. Letter from colleague summarizing applicant's body of work including: -- Relevant background material -- Research accomplishments placed in context -- Assessment of the direct or indirect impact of contributions to the understanding of neuropathic pain Deadline The 2015 scientific award deadline is October 23, 2014.
