PHISTc protein family members localize to different subcellular organelles and bind Plasmodium  falciparum major virulence factor PfEMP‐1

This study describes differential subcellular localization of novel PHISTc members PFD1140w and PF11_0503 in infected erythrocytes and identifies their binding partners in an attempt to comprehend their functions in parasitized red blood cells. The research adds another chapter to the basic understanding of lethal malaria.
