Total Body Irradiation is Safe and Similarly Effective to Chemotherapy-Only Conditioning in Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation for Mantle Cell Lymphoma Patients
• There was no significant difference in PFS and OS for MCL patients that underwent TBI- versus BEAM-based conditioning.• 5-year PFS was 66% versus 52% (TBI versus BEAM); OS 82% versus 68%, respectively.• Early toxicity, non-relapse mortality, and secondary malignancies were similar between gr oups.
