Request for Proposals: American Urological Association Data Grants The AUA is accepting letters of intent for research proposals that address key knowledge gaps and emerging research questions related to urological care delivery, workforce development and health policy. The AUA is particularly interested in supporting population-based, data-driven, specialty generalizable studies using electronic health records, data maintained by the AUA (including population-based survey data, CMS administrative and claims data, the ABU certification file, and the AUA membership database) or other data sources already available to investigators. The AUA Data Grants promote novel and methodologically rigorous analyses that inform policymakers, payers, the urology community, other healthcare providers and the public about key issues in urological care delivery. Funding Each grant will not exceed $50,000, payable in two installments. The funding aims to cover up to one year of costs related to project initiation, management, implementation and presentation (excluding salary support for the principal investigator). The AUA will provide the full spectrum of data and statistical support needed to execute funded projects. The first installment will be paid at the start of the grant period, which is expected to be January 1, 2015.
