Psychosocial Determinants of Health in Young Heart Transplant Recipients: Thinking Outside the Box
Given rates of morbidity, mortality, and quality of life concerns, there is increasing need for adolescent psychosocial screening after heart transplant to identify those at highest risk for depression, anxiety, and social stressors. This pilot study aimed to assess the relationship between a patient ’s perception of medical treatment and social stressors with their physical functioning.
