GABAA and GABAB receptor dysregulation in superior frontal cortex of subjects with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder

Graphical Abstract
Using western blotting, the authors show abnormal expression of GABAA and GABAB receptor subunits in superior frontal cortex of subjects with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. These findings suggest abnormal GABAergic neurotransmission which may help explain behavioral deficits in these disorders.
