Is aortic knob width a novel predictor of mortality in hemodialysis patients?

CONCLUSIONS: Age, male gender, aortic calcification, and hypertension are the primary risk factors for increased aortic knob width in hemodialysis patients. Aortic knob width greater than 37.98 mm, which can be measured simply and rapidly using posterior-anterior chest radiography, may be a predictor of mortality.GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT: https://www.europeanreview.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/Graphical-Abstract-10.jpg.PMID:38639520 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202404_35909
