Hormone replacement therapy in women with iatrogenic premature ovarian insufficiency after radiotherapy for cervical cancer: A retrospective cohort and survey study

According to a GLOBOCAN summary of 185 countries in 2020, there were 604,127 cases of cervical cancer worldwide and 341,831 deaths. The majority of affected women are younger than 50  years of age at diagnosis [1]. As the average age of onset of natural menopause is 51 [2], most women diagnosed and treated for cervical cancer are premenopausal at the time of diagnosis. The treatment options for cervical cancer include surgery and/or (chemo)radiation therapy, depending on the s tage of the disease [3,4].
