The research landscape concerning environmental factors in neurodevelopmental disorders: Endocrine disrupters and pesticides-A review

This study contributes to analyzing their effect on the molecular mechanism in maternal and infant thyroid function, essential for infant neurodevelopment, and whose alteration has been associated with various neurodevelopmental disorders. The results provide scientific evidence of the association that exists between the environmental neurotoxins and various neurodevelopmental disorders. In addition, other possible molecular mechanisms by which pesticides and endocrine disruptors may be associated with neurodevelopmental disorders are being discussed.PMID:38561126 | DOI:10.1016/j.yfrne.2024.101132
