Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex hormonal and metabolic disorder affecting up to 20  % of women in reproductive years [1]. The syndrome is associated with several comorbidities, including type 2 diabetes mellitus, hepatosteatosis, dyslipidemia, hypertension, endometrial cancer, sleep disorders, depression, and anxiety [2,3].
