Long-term follow-up of cancer and catastrophic diseases in hematopoietic stem cell donors: a comprehensive matched cohort study
Bone Marrow Transplantation, Published online: 07 March 2024; doi:10.1038/s41409-024-02204-7We conducted a matched cohort study that included 5003 HSC donors and randomly selected matched controls from the donor registry. Our findings revealed no significant difference in the incidences of cancer and catastrophic diseases, as well as overall mortality, between HSC donors and matched healthy subjects during long-term follow-up.
