Life expectancy and death pattern associated with systemic lupus erythematosus diagnosis in Brazil between 2000 and 2019
CONCLUSIONS: SLE patients presented higher mortality compared to the general population matched for sex and age and the main causes associated with death were infection and kidney disease. Public health policies that promote early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of damage are necessary to reduce morbidity and mortality in SLE patients.PMID:38414428 | DOI:10.1177/09612033241236383
