Preeclampsia is caused by impaired placenta – A case report
Preeclampsia (PE) is a disorder of pregnancy associated with new-onset hypertension combined with proteinuria, renal and liver insufficiency, thrombocytopenia, neurological abnormalities and FGR. It is caused by impaired placentation which leads to imbalance between pro-angiogenic (PlGF) and anti-angiogenic factors ( sFlt). PE symptoms are related to endothelial dysfunction caused by among others sFlt-1.
