Altered gut microbiome associated with metabolic-associated fatty liver disease in Chinese children
Limited studies have investigated the association between gut microbiota and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) because of its association with metabolic dysfunction in children and adolescents. We aimed to identify differences in gut microbiota composition and diversity between children with MAFLD and healthy counterparts.
