A 9-year-old patient with indolent NK cell lymphoproliferative disorder: What role does an inherited SESN3 mutation play?

A 9-year-old male, who had experienced refractory hematochezia since infancy, was admitted to our hospital. He had previously gone to multiple hospitals and was successively diagnosed with eosinophilic gastroenteritis and ulcerative colitis, while the digestive ulcers did not improve after the treatment of oral glucocorticoid or infliximab. Upon admission to our hospital, all laboratory results were in the normal range, except for high platelets count and immunoglobulin E levels. Endoscopy revealed multiple ulcers throughout the digestive tract.
