Bloodstream infections in COVID-19 patients undergoing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in ICU: An observational cohort study
The pandemic due to SARS-CoV-2 infection is characterized by a wide spectrum of clinical presentation and disease (COVID-19), ranging from an asymptomatic course to the acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).1,2 Like ARDS of other etiologies,3,4 the most severe cases of respiratory failure due to Sars-CoV2 can require the extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support.5,6
