Metformin attenuates chronic lung allograft dysfunction: evidence in rat models

CONCLUSIONS: Metformin attenuates CLAD in rat models, which could be attributed to the antifibrotic and immunomodulatory effects. AMPK activation suggests the potential molecular mechanism.
