ConclusionLEI anticonvulsant use for ≥ 2 years is associated with higher vertebral fracture prevalence. Lateral spine VFA imaging at the time of bone densitometry may be appropriate for older individuals who have used LEI anticonvulsant medications for ≥ 2 years.
