Proximity to noise sources, socio-economic characteristics and diagnosis of high blood pressure among urban dwellers in ibadan, nigeria

High blood pressure (BP) is a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and death. Studies have identified relationship between noise and high BP, although, limited literature exist on the effects of proximity to healthcare, pharmaceutical shops, bus stops, churches, and mosques on high BP. We investigated the relationship between proximity to noise sources, socioeconomic, demographic factors and diagnosed high BP in Ibadan, Nigeria.
