Second-line treatment options for patients with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma: A systematic literature review
Patients with advanced cancer of the pancreas are often treated with combination chemotherapy. When patients progress, many will be started on a different treatment, called a second-line treatment. Many drugs have been investigated as second-line treatment options for patients with pancreatic cancer. We reviewed the results of studies of second-line treatment options for advanced pancreatic cancer published since 2016 in what is called a systematic literature review. We did this because we wanted to see which second-line treatments work well and which ones work less well in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer.
