Myocardial work in children with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome
This study supports the systematic use of myocardial work during the follow-up of paediatric patients with WPW. Myocardial work analysis may represent a sensitive measure of LV performance and aid in decision-making. (Source: The International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging)

Po-05-223 exaggerated decremental conduction across the cavo-tricuspid isthmus in typical atrial flutter.
Typical atrial flutter (AFL) is a common arrhythmia and ablation is often utilized. However, when a patient with AFL is in sinus rhythm, there is no known electrophysiologic finding to suggest that AFL is likely. Whereas, with atrioventricular nodal reentry tachycardia, an AH jump is seen or with Wolff-Parkinson White Syndrome, accessory pathway conduction is present during electrophysiologic testing. The critical isthmus in AFL is at the cavotricuspid isthmus (CTI). (Source: Heart Rhythm)

Asymptomatic Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome: An Ounce of Prevention Is Worth the Risk of Cure
AbstractPurpose of ReviewWith increased electrocardiogram screening, asymptomatic preexcitation has become more prevalent. Historically, the asymptomatic-symptomatic dichotomy has directed management. This approach warrants scrutiny, as asymptomatic Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome is not without risk. Children may be unreliable symptom reporters, have atypical arrhythmia symptoms, yet have years to become symptomatic.Recent FindingsIn a large WPW study, symptomatic patients were more likely to undergo ablation than asymptomatic patients,  yet, except for symptoms, there were no differences in clinical or electrophysi...

Validation of qrs-polarity algorithm with special emphasis in parahisian pathways
CONCLUSION: The QRS-Polarity algorithm has a good global accuracy; its precision is high, especially for left lateral AP. This algorithm is also useful for the parahisian AP.PMID:37054739 | DOI:10.24875/ACM.22000090 (Source: Archivos de Cardiologia de Mexico)
