Biomarkers of Progression and Risk Stratification in Asymptomatic Waldenstr öm Macroglobulinemia
Waldenstr öm macroglobulinemia is an indolent IgM-secreting B-cell lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma that is preceded by an asymptomatic stage. Clinical and molecular features have been used in risk models to predict progression rates in different asymptomatic subgroups. Risk models used both disease-specific and n onspecific biomarkers for asymptomatic patients. Recently, models that incorporate continuous variables rather than distinct cutoffs have emerged to more accurately predict the risk of progression. Integrating genetic alterations to the clinical models is a promising approach that could improve risk stratification and...

Crystal storing histiocytosis forming a mass lesion in temporal lobe
In this report, we describe an additional case of crystal storing histiocytosis in a 48 year old female who presented with a mass lesion in the right temporal lobe of the cerebrum.PMID:37530364 | DOI:10.4103/ijpm.ijpm_373_21 (Source: Indian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology)

Secondary amyloidosis with concomitant gastric GIST and gastric adenocarcinoma - A case report
Indian J Pathol Microbiol. 2023 Jul-Sep;66(3):594-596. doi: 10.4103/ijpm.ijpm_461_21.ABSTRACTSecondary amyloidosis is a well-established entity and has been described in association with chronic inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, bronchiectasis, tuberculosis, etc., It has also been reported in association with neoplasms such as Hodgkin's lymphoma, Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia, renal cell carcinoma, lung carcinoma, etc. However, only a few case reports documenting the association of amyloidosis with gastrointestinal tumor (GIST) and gastric adenocarcinoma are available in the li...
