Wellbeats CEO on why the firm found a fitness partner in LifeSpeak
St. Louis Park-based fitness programmer Wellbeats said on Tuesday it would be acquired by Toronto's LifeSpeak for $92 million, but CEO Jason Von Bank said it could've kept running solo.
Wellbeats, which produces streaming fitness classes for corporate customers, has been growing rapidly as companies try to boost their employees' physical well-being through digital programs while they work remotely.

The group, part of Isaacman’s Black Diamonds aerobatic team, was rehearsing for an air show and trying to come up with a flashy new finish. What they decided on called for flying in a square formation and then suddenly veering toward one another, before pulling back at the last second. It would be a nifty thing to watch go right—and a terrible thing to watch go wrong.

'Robot Doc' starts solo orthopedic practice in Honolulu
Although uncertain of his future as a kid growing up in Keeau on Hawaii Island, Paul Norio Morton said his childhood passion for sports and technology are what eventually led him to pursue a career in orthopedics, specializing in robotic joint replacements.
