Spinal adhesive arachnoiditis after spinal anesthesia complicated by communicating hydrocephalus - A case report
CONCLUSION: AA is a challenging condition associated with inflammation and scarring of the arachnoid membrane. The development of hydrocephalus following epidural anesthesia, in this case, highlights a rare manifestation of arachnoiditis. Further research and documentation are needed to understand better the underlying mechanisms and risk factors contributing to hydrocephalus in the context of AA following epidural anesthesia.PMID:38468646 | PMC:PMC10927229 | DOI:10.25259/SNI_933_2023 (Source: Surgical Neurology International)

A challenging case of endoscopic third ventriculostomy
CONCLUSION: We believe that ETV should be carefully indicated in selected patients with Chiari II, post-infectious hydrocephalus, by experienced hands, as the surgical anatomy can be extremely complex and misleading.PMID:38468643 | PMC:PMC10927189 | DOI:10.25259/SNI_905_2023 (Source: Surgical Neurology International)

Measuring CSF shunt flow with MRI using flow enhancement of signal intensity (FENSI)
CONCLUSION: The results demonstrate the technique's applicability, accuracy, and potential for diagnosing and noninvasively monitoring hydrocephalus. Limitations of the current approach include a high sensitivity to motion and strict requirement of imaging slice prescription.PMID:38469904 | DOI:10.1002/mrm.30079 (Source: Magnetic Resonance in Medicine)
