Anxiety in hospitalised families: lessons from the early phase of the COVID-19 pandemic
CONCLUSIONS: Families, especially children, had heightened anxiety while in hospital isolation. Therefore, home-based recovery from COVID-19 and psychological support for children and their families, with focus on early recognition of anxiety disorders, are recommended. We support review of paediatric isolation policy as the pandemic evolves.PMID:37338493 | DOI:10.4103/singaporemedj.SMJ-2021-413 (Source: Singapore Medical Journal)

A Comparison of the Anti-Anxiety Effects of Oral Ketamine and Fluvoxamine in Children with Separation Anxiety Disorder Manifesting as School Refusal
CONCLUSION: In first eight weeks of treatment, ketamine was more successful than fluvoxamine at reducing anxiety disorder, considering the emergence of this disorder and the lack of major adverse effects of ketamine, it seems to be beneficial in early phases of treatment. Due to the quick onset of ketamine in future trials, their combination therapy is recommended during the initial weeks of treatment.PMID:37288025 | PMC:PMC10241616 | DOI:10.4103/abr.abr_388_22 (Source: Biomed Res)
