The prognosis of patients with prostate cancer receiving permanent seed implantation stratified by prostate volume: should we be reluctant to treat with brachytherapy because of a very small prostate ( & lt;15 cc)?
CONCLUSIONS: Our results obtained by analyzing a very large Japanese prospective database showed no difference in treatment outcomes according to PV (<15 cc, 15-20 cc, and ˃20 cc). Our study confirmed that PI in small prostates (even <15 cc) remains an effective treatment option.PMID:37597804 | DOI:10.1016/j.radonc.2023.109855

Relationship between doses to anatomical structures and erectile dysfunction after radiotherapy for prostate cancer: A systematic review
CONCLUSION: We currently have little data to show a correlation between erectile dysfunction and sexual structures. It would be necessary to have additional prospective studies evaluating the impact of an optimization on these sexual structures on erectile dysfunction.PMID:37596125 | DOI:10.1016/j.canrad.2023.07.010

PD-L1 expression and prognosis in definitive radiotherapy patients with neuroendocrine cervical carcinoma
CONCLUSION: In patients with mixed NECC, positive PD-L1 expression is correlated with higher 3-year PFS. Chemoradiotherapy was effective for NECCs. The LNM and stage predicted PFS. Four or more cycles of chemotherapy improve prognosis. Prophylactic EFI did not significantly improve PFS and OS.RELEVANCE FOR PATIENTS: This study is relevant to patients as it confirms that chemoradiotherapy is effective for both early and locally advanced NECC and that four or more cycles of chemotherapy improved prognosis. The regimen should be carefully evaluated to ensure that patients receive the most effective radiation therapy for the p...

Economical Evaluation of Cancer Types Using Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy Compared to 3D Conformal Radiation Therapy: A Systematic Review
CONCLUSION: The results can help to decide whether to use radiation therapy and radiotherapy in the standard treatment path. Furthermore, they underline that IMRT treatment technique was cost effective for a long-time care service.PMID:37593521 | PMC:PMC10430406 | DOI:10.18502/ijph.v52i7.13237
