Influence of culture media composition on the rheology of microalgae concentrates on a large scale
This study aimed to characterize microalgal concentrates rheologically in different culture media. The presence of bacteria was quantified by photorespirometry and plate counting techniques. The culture medium was found to significantly influence viscosity, with primary wastewater exhibiting the highest viscosity and seawater plus pig slurry the lowest. The concentration of heterotrophic bacteria was directly related to the viscosity. Extracellular polysaccharides (EPS) in supernatant exhibited an inverse viscosity trend compared to biomass concentrates, with pig slurry cultures having higher concentrations. These findings...

Association between physical activity and risk of COVID-19 infection or clinical outcomes of the patients with COVID-19; A systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusion:Participating in sufficient physical activity might decrease COVID-19 related hospitalization and mortality. Developing programs to increase physical activity during the COVID-19 pandemic might be an appropriate health strategy.

Synthesis & amp; fabrication of O-linked polymeric hybrids for recovery of textile dyes: Closed loop economy
Environ Res. 2023 Jul 30:116780. doi: 10.1016/j.envres.2023.116780. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDyes are an important resource employed for the production systems in textile, paper, paint and leather industry. An estimate of 200,000 tons of dyes are discharged as textile effluent each year worldwide. It becomes imperative to recover these dyes by treating the effluents using economically viable routes. The present research was undertaken with the objective to attain zero emission and zero waste through development of novel polymeric hybrids as adsorbents. For this purpose, metal moieties (Al3+, Si4+, Ti4+ and Zr4+) were ...

The impacts of renewable energy production, economic growth, and economic globalization on CO < sub > 2 < /sub > emissions: evidence from Fourier ADL co-integration and Fourier-Granger causality test for Turkey
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2023 Aug 1. doi: 10.1007/s11356-023-28800-6. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAlong with the growth and globalization of the whole world economy since the First Industrial Revolution, the production and use of fossil fuels have led to increased CO2 emissions and, ultimately, significant environmental degradation. The impact of globalization, economic growth, and renewable energy sources on CO2 may show trends with different turning points in developing countries, and estimations may need to follow Fourier-type functions to capture the frequency domain. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine...

Exploring the nexus between green innovations and green growth in G-7 economies: evidence from wavelet quantile correlation and continuous wavelet transform causality methods
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2023 Aug 1. doi: 10.1007/s11356-023-28982-z. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThere are numerous studies on the nexus between technology and economic growth. However, the recent paradigm shift toward achieving green economic growth calls for divulging the important drivers of green growth to derive the salient policies for triggering the green growth process. In this context, the recent study claims green technologies (GT) as the crucial determinant of green economic growth (GG) and extends the prior literature by examining the dynamic effects of GT on GG for G-7 nations. To do so, the recent study...

An unexpected contribution of higher education towards the innovations: the moderate role of green technology
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2023 Aug 1. doi: 10.1007/s11356-023-28655-x. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTUnderstanding how environmental restrictions affect the relationship between economic stability and unbalanced technical innovation is crucial for optimizing environmental and financial policy frameworks in developing nations to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs). Understanding the driving effect of green funding on green development is vital for promoting economic transformation and achieving long-term green growth. Green growth is one of the most exciting new strategies for sustained economic expansion. Despit...
