Effect of turning direction on Timed Up and Go test results in stroke patients.
CONCLUSIONS: The present study found that stroke patients showed differences in the TUG test results based on their turning direction, and less time was required when turning in the direction of the affected side than when turning in the direction of the unaffected side.
CLINICAL REHABILITATION IMPACT: Turning direction can affect the results of the TUG test; it should be controlled in the execution of the TUG test in clinical settings.

How effective is physical therapy for gait muscle activity in hemiparetic patients who receive botulinum toxin injections?
CONCLUSIONS: Following BoNT-A monotherapy, soleus activity during the stance phase decreased and walking ability either remained unchanged or deteriorated. Following BoNT-A+PT, muscle activity and knee joint stability increased during the stance phase, and abnormal muscle activity during the swing phase was suppressed.

The cardiac autonomic nervous system response to different daily demands among patients at the sub-acute phase post ischemic stroke and healthy controls.

Priming With 1-Hz Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Over Contralesional Leg Motor Cortex Does Not Increase the Rate of Regaining Ambulation Within 3 Months of Stroke: A Randomized Controlled Trial
Conclusions
The present study found that insufficient evidence that contralesional priming with 1-Hz repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation improves ambulatory and other motor functions among patients with a severe leg dysfunction in subacute stroke.

Comparative effects of robotic-assisted gait training combined with conventional physical therapy on paretic hip joint stiffness and kinematics between subacute and chronic hemiparetic stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: RAGT combine with conventional physical therapy may be useful when selecting therapeutic interventions to improve the active torque, resistive torque, and stiffness in the paretic hip flexion phase in patients with chronic hemiparetic stroke who reached a plateau in the maximum locomotor recovery after conventional locomotor training.

CONCLUSION: This audit provides an initial picture of the current adherence of physical therapy assessment and management with the stroke physical therapy guideline at a tertiary rehabilitation hospital in the state of Qatar.
