Two-Year Recurrence After First-Ever Stroke in a General Population of 1.4 Million Japanese Patients 　- The Shiga Stroke and Heart Attack Registry Study.
CONCLUSIONS: Two-year cumulative recurrence rate after first-ever stroke remained high, particularly among patients with ischemic stroke, in the present population-based registry study in a real-world setting in Japan. Impact of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibition on platelet tissue factor expression in stroke-prone rats
Conclusion: The current study shows for the first time that in hypertension the number of TF-positive megakaryocytes increases thus releasing in the circulation more platelets carrying a functionally active TF. AngII stimulates platelets to express TF.

Japanese and Non-Japanese Patients with Transient Ischemic Attack or Minor Stroke: A Five-Year Risk Analysis of Stroke and Vascular Events.
CONCLUSIONS: Recurrent stroke and intracranial hemorrhage were determined to be more prevalent at 5 years after TIA or minor stroke in Japanese patients than in non-Japanese patients. Strategies to mitigate the long-term risks of stroke, aside from adherence to current guidelines, should take Japanese-patient-specific residual risks into account. Predictive Value of Cystatin C for Stroke Recurrence in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: In ischemic stroke patients with high hsCRP concentrations, higher CysC concentrations increased the risk of stroke recurrence and vascular events. The Association between Glomerular Filtration Rate Estimated on Admission and Acute Stroke Outcome: The Shiga Stroke Registry.
