Aspirin resistance and blood biomarkers in predicting ischemic stroke recurrence: An exploratory study
CONCLUSIONS: Majority of patients with recurrent stroke were elderly (>60 years), hypertensive, and non-compliant with aspirin. Aspirin resistance was an important factor in patients with antiplatelet compliance. CONCLUSIONS: Plt-VWF, either in presence or absence of ADAMTS13, partially contributes to VWF-dependent injury and postischemic thrombo-inflammation after stroke. Recurrent Strokes as the First Presentation of Occult Pancreatic Cancer; Trousseau Syndrome: A Case Report
We present a case of a 64-year-old female with recurrent ischemic stroke of unknown cause and involving different arterial territories, who was discovered to have metastatic pancreatic cancer. The initial workup with brain imaging revealed multiple acute/subacute ischemic strokes and a negative cardiac assessment.
