Mortality and Morbidity Effects of Long-Term Exposure to Low-Level PM < sub > 2.5 < /sub > , BC, NO < sub > 2 < /sub > , and O < sub > 3 < /sub > : An Analysis of European Cohorts in the ELAPSE Project
CONCLUSIONS: Long-term exposure to PM2.5, NO2, and BC was positively associated with natural-cause and cause-specific mortality in the pooled cohort and the administrative cohorts. Associations were found well below current limit values and guidelines for PM2.5 and NO2. Associations tended to be supralinear, with steeper slopes at low exposures with no indication of a threshold. Cancers, Vol. 14, Pages 3049: Mortality and Major Cardiovascular Events among Patients with Multiple Myeloma: Analysis from a Nationwide French Medical Information Database
Conclusions: From a large nationwide database, we demonstrated that MM patients do not have a higher risk of CV death or even a lower risk of both MI and ischaemic stroke. Conversely, MM patients had a higher risk of both major and intracranial bleedings, highlighting the key issue of thromboprophylaxis in these patients.

Breast Cancer and Incident Cardiovascular Events. A Systematic Analysis at the Nationwide Level
CONCLUSIONS: In a large and contemporary analysis of female patients seen in French hospitals, women with history of breast cancer had higher risk of all-cause mortality, new onset heart failure and major bleeding compared to a matched cohort of women without breast cancer. Hospitalization for adverse events under abiraterone or enzalutamide exposure in real-world setting: a French population-based study on prostate cancer patients
CONCLUSION: Our study provides knowledge on abiraterone and enzalutamide real-life safety profiles, especially for events leading to hospitalisation. Despite several limitations, including the lack of clinical data, the safety signal for AKI under abiraterone is in line with results of an analysis of the French pharmacovigilance database, which requires further specific investigations. Enlightening the clinicians' therapeutic choices for patients treated for prostate cancer, our study should lead to clinicians to be cautious in the use of abiraterone.PMID:34224605 | DOI:10.1111/bcp.14972
