Avellis syndrome with ipsilateral prosopalgia, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, and central post-stroke pain: A case report and literature review
We reported a case of Avellis syndrome who manifested as the typical reported manifestations. The patient, what’s more, presented with ipsilateral trigeminal, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, and central poststroke pain which were described for the first time. The prevention of stroke by statins: A meta-analysis
Conclusions: Our findings indicated that the statins were associated with the patients with stroke in recurrence rate, but there was no significant correlation with the mortality and morbidity of patients with stroke.

Acupuncture against the metabolic risk factors for stroke: A systematic review of systematic reviews
Conclusion: This review summarizes the available evidence and underpins findings of the acupuncture exhibited the therapeutic role in eliminating metabolic risk factors for stroke, including systolic blood pressure, weight loss, glycemic index and cholesterol. Acupuncture could have positive effects on a specific symptom, and the effects depend not only on intervention type but also on how and when the intervention is provided. And more prioritizing high-quality research in this field in the future is conducive to guiding clinical practice.
