Use of Tirofiban to Prevent Ischemic Events in Patients with CYP2C19 Loss-of-Function Alleles during Flow Diversion of Intracranial Aneurysm: A Multicenter Cohort Study
This study supports CYP2C19 genotyping before flow diversion because LOF alleles increase the risk of ischemic events. Prophylactic use of tirofiban may help reduce ischemic events in LOF allele carriers.

Stroke in mitral valve prolapse: risk factors and left atrial function in cryptogenic versus non-cryptogenic ischemic subtypes
ConclusionsMVP-related MR may be protective against stroke despite abnormal LA function. Risk of NC-stroke in MVP is related to common stroke risk factors rather than mitral valve leaflet thickness. The etiology of C-stroke in MVP warrants further studies.
