E-108 Ruptured intracranial aneurysm presenting as isolated acute subdural hemorrhage
ConclusionIn rare cases, ruptured intracranial aneurysms can be associated with isolated subdural hemorrhage. Common treatment options include endovascular coiling and microsurgical clipping. However, endovascular repair is often preferred especially when the patient may not be able to tolerate a surgical procedure, as was the case with this patient. In this case, the patient presented with stroke-like symptoms and was found to have a subdural hemorrhage. After emergent craniotomy to evacuate the hematoma, successful endovascular coiling was performed, and the patient was stabilized for further management>Disclosures D....

E-136 Morphology of mycotic aneurysms and outcomes
ConclusionPatients with secured mycotic aneurysms are less likely to have in-hospital mortality from postoperative hemorrhage and more likely to have better outcomes upon discharge. This snapshot study warrants further investigation to determine the optimal safe timing between securing IIAs to valvular surgery.Disclosures N. Krothapalli: None. M. Tsikvadze: None. N. Akram: None. E-152 Neurointervention in the pediatric population: 18-years experience from a single center
ConclusionsAt out institution, multidisciplinary interaction allowed the treatment of a wide variety of cerebrovascular diseases in the pediatric population. Pediatric patients carry high complication risks due to frequent presence of systemic conditions, but joined experience from pediatric neurology, neurosurgery and neurointervention departments allow their treatment with optimal planning and results.Abstract E-152 Table 1Intracranial aneurysms Variable Value Age at diagnosis, mean (SD) or median (IQR) 16 (16–19) Male:Female 12:10 Associated conditions•Moya moya•Connective tissue disorder•Von Wille...

E-187 Pipeline embolization stent for treatment of giant supraclinoid aneurysms: a case series
ConclusionThe Pipeline embolization device is a novel technique that can be utilized for treatment of giant cerebrovascular aneurysms with emerging evidence of immediate and long-term success. Further patient enrollment and clinical trials will be required to assess its efficacy in comparison to other endovascular and surgical approaches for the treatment of giant aneurysms.Disclosures M. E-215 Single stent assisted coiling for wide neck bifurcation aneurysms: a multi-center core lab validated analysis demonstrating safety and efficacy
ConclusionThis study represents the first multi-center, core-lab validated data of the safety and efficacy of the L-stenting single stent technique for wide-neck bifurcation aneurysms. Further prospective studies in larger cohorts are necessary to compare the efficacy and safety of this treatment to other endovascular techniques for treatment of wide neck bifurcation aneurysms.Disclosures N. P-019 Comparative effectiveness of stent-assisted coiling and woven endobridge (WEB) embolization for the treatment of unruptured wide-neck bifurcation intracranial aneurysms
ConclusionMid-term complete and adequate occlusion rates were similar between patients treated with WEB and SAC. Given the comparable outcomes, there may be equipoise in treatment options for WNBAs.Abstract P-019 Table 1Baseline patient and aneurysm morphology parameters between treatment groups Aneurysm parameters* WEB (n=27) Stent-coil (n=54) p-value Age 63 (50–69) 65 (57–69) 0.511 Gender, male 6 (22%) 12 (22%) 1.000 Smoking Status Current smoker 9 (33%) 9 (17%) 0.235 Prior Smoker 9 (33%) 22 (41%) Never Smoker 9 (33%) 23 (43%) Location Acomm 9 (33%) 20 (37%) 0.772 Basilar apex 6 (22%) 17 (32%) Carotid termin...

Inter-rater reliability of the simplified Modified Rankin Scale as an outcome measure for treated cerebral aneurysm patients
CONCLUSION: The simplified mRS appears to be a reliable clinical outcome measure for treated cerebral aneurysm patients. When needed, dichotomization is more reliable at mRS 0-2 vs 3-5 than at 0-1 vs 2-5. The simplified mRS is a promising tool in the functional assessment of aneurysm patients recruited in pragmatic care trials.PMID:35662528 | DOI:10.1016/j.neuchi.2022.04.003
