Hemodynamic Characteristics Associated With Paraclinoid Aneurysm Recurrence in Patients After Embolization
Conclusions: High peak systolic WSS, OSI and velocity around aneurysm neck areas after embolization of paraclinoidal aneurysms may be important factors leading to recurrence. Introduction Paraclinoid aneurysms are defined as aneurysms arising from the segment of the internal carotid artery (ICA) between the distal dural ring and the origin of the posterior communicating artery. They account for approximately 1.3–5% of all intracranial aneurysms and they comprise the majority of such aneurysms in females (1–3). Hemodynamic characteristics are thought to be the most important risk factors for occurrence...

Micro‐vascular imaging experiences of time‐of‐flight MRA at 7T for cerebrovascular diseases
This study is to examine patients with vascular diseases using ultra‐high field 7T MRI with conventional time‐of‐flight (TOF) sequence, 3D fast low‐angle shot (FLASH) gradient‐echo. We have evaluated several radio‐frequency (RF) coils to find the optimal one for 7T magnetic resonance angiography (MRA), especially for micro‐vascular imaging. We have conducted several comparison studies with vascular disease patients. The results showed that micro‐vessels such as lenticulostriate arteries in the subjects with risk factors like hypertension or stroke patients were significantly less than in the healthy subject...

Timing and nature of in-house postoperative events following uncomplicated elective endovascular aneurysm treatment.
Conclusions The large majority of significant postprocedural events after uncomplicated endovascular aneurysm intervention occur within the first 4 hours; these events become less frequent with increasing time. Transfer to a floor bed after 4-12 hours for further observation is reasonable to consider in some patients. PMID: 25170666 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

O-018 Magnetically Assisted Remote-controlled Endovascular Catheter for Interventional MRI: In Vitro Navigation at 1.5 T versus X-ray Fluoroscopy
Conclusion In this study, a MARC catheter for endovascular navigation under real-time MRI guidance was developed and tested. For catheterization of branch vessels arising at large angles, magnetically assisted catheterization was faster than manual catheterization under MR imaging guidance and was comparable to standard x-ray guidance. This represents a significant advance in MRI guided catheterization and brings the performance of MRI guided stroke interventions closer to clinical reality. Disclosures S. E-006 Familial Incidence of the Congenital Torcular Dural Arteriovenous Shunt
Purpose There are several hereditary disorders that are well known to be associated with arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) involving the central nervous system including Sturge-Weber, Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber, and Parkes-Weber syndromes as well as hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia and hereditary neurocutaneous angiomatosis. Furthermore, familial incidence of AVMs in the absence of congenital hereditary disorders also has been reported. Herein, we describe the occurrence of the giant torcular herophili (TH) dural arteriovenous fistula (AVF) in two pediatric cousins treated with endovascular embolization. Case report C...

E-056 Pipeline Endovascular Device for the Treatment of Intracranial Aneurysm at the Level of the Circle of Willis and Beyond: Multicenter Experience
Conclusion The PED provides a safe and effective solution for aneurysms at and beyond the circle of Willis. Preliminary results are promising but larger series with longer-term follow-up examinations are required to show the long-term safety and durability of this treatment alternative. Disclosures M. Surpass Flow Diverter in the Treatment of Intracranial Aneurysms: A Prospective Multicenter Study EVIDENCE-BASED MEDICINE LEVEL 2
CONCLUSIONS: Clinical outcomes of the Surpass flow diverter in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms show a safety profile that is comparable with that of stent-assisted coil embolization. Angiographic results showed a high rate of intracranial aneurysm occlusion.

O-028 endovascular treatment of ruptured blister-like aneurysms: a systematic review and meta-analysis with focus on deconstructive versus reconstructive and flow diverter treatments
ConclusionsEndovascular treatment of ruptured BLAs is associated with high rates of complete occlusion and good long-term neurological outcomes in most patients. Deconstructive techniques are associated with higher occlusion rates, but higher risk of peri-operative ischemic stroke. In the reconstructive group, flow diversion carries higher level of complete occlusion and similar clinical outcomes.DisclosuresA. Rouchaud: None. W. Brinjikji: None. H. Cloft: None. D. E-125 microembolism after endovascular coiling of unruptured cerebral aneurysms: incidence and risk factors
ConclusionThe incidence of microembolism after endovascular coiling of UIA was not low. Lesions occurred more frequently in patients with vascular status associated with old age, diabetes and previous stroke. The multiplicity of aneurysms and the type of stent used for treatment also influenced lesion occurrence.DisclosuresJ. Park: None. D. Lee: None. J. Ahn: None. B. Kwun: None.
