Effective chemotherapy and targeted therapy supplemented with stereotactic radiotherapy of a patient with metastatic colon cancer following renal transplantation: a case report
ConclusionsSince information is scarce regarding oncological treatment of patients following organ transplantation, data about their oncological treatment is essential. To our knowledge, this is the first case report to describe the successful chemotherapy and targeted therapy supplemented with stereotactic radiotherapy of a posttransplant patient with metastatic colorectal cancer.

Ipsilateral Vocal Cord Paralysis After Acute Anterior Ischemic Stroke

Case Report: Brain Metastasis Confined to the Infarcted Area Following Stroke
Conclusions: Cerebral infarctions can cause neovascularization and disruption of the blood–brain barrier. Moreover, the compartmentalized cavity formed by the ischemic injury may accept a large volume of metastatic tumor cells. Such an altered microenvironment of infarcted tissue would be suitable for the colonization and proliferation of metastatic seed. Further, brain metastases should be considered, in addition to recurrence, when new focal neurological deficits develop in patients with ischemic stroke and comorbid cancer.

Decreased 18F-Fluorodeoxyglucose Uptake in Lumbar Vertebrae of Stroke Patients.
CONCLUSIONS: Stroke patients showed decreased FDG uptake in the lumbar vertebrae. Further studies are warranted to evaluate the pathophysiological link between cerebral atherosclerosis and bone.

Conclusion Atherosclerotic IS did not present a greater risk of CAD when compared to non-atherosclerotic IS according to CCS. Only age ≥ 60 years, but not etiology, was independently associated with CCS ≥ 100.

Hemichorea in ketotic hyperglycemia with hyperdense striatum mimicking hemorrhagic transformation in a patient using apixaban.
CONCLUSION: Diabetic striatopathy is a rare but treatable disorder and should be considered in patients with poorly controlled diabetes who present with hemichorea.

We report a case of delayed presentation of neurological manifestations in form of multiple intracranial aneurysms many years after treatment of a cardiac myxoma.
