Effects of pneumoperitoneum on hemodynamics evaluated by continuous noninvasive arterial pressure monitoring. A single-center observational study
CONCLUSIONS: In patients undergoing elective cholecystectomy, CNAP monitoring showed significant hemodynamic changes that would have been underappreciated with standard non-invasive monitoring with increase in arterial elastance under stable preload conditions. Whether this effect is due to unknown cardiovascular diseases facilitating ventriculo-arterial decoupling remains to be determined.KEY WORDS: Arterial Elastance, Cardiac Outp, Pneumoperitoneum, Stroke Volume, Stroke Volume Variation.PMID:37530058

Laparoscopic adrenalectomy of pheochromocytoma following management of severe aortic stenosis with transcatheter aortic valve replacement under monitored anesthesia care sedation: a case report
Management of a patient with an active pheochromocytoma and severe aortic stenosis remains controversial. Adrenalectomy for a pheochromocytoma poses a high risk for stroke, hypertensive emergency, and mortalit...

Effect of high-risk factors on postoperative major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events trends following bariatric surgery in the United States from 2012 to 2019
CONCLUSIONS: MACE following LSG and LRYGB is rare, occurring in 0.1% of patients. Persistently increasing high-risk conditions and demographics has had minimal effect on MACE over time for LSG and LRYGB but has had significant effect on MACE trend over time in SG and RYGB.PMID:36209030 | DOI:10.1016/j.soard.2022.08.014

Anesthetic management using remimazolam in a patient with atrial flutter: a case report
Am J Transl Res. 2022 Aug 15;14(8):5754-5759. eCollection 2022.ABSTRACTRemimazolam is a new intravenously administered ultra-short-acting benzodiazepine used in anesthesia or sedation. Remimazolam offers several advantages over other short-acting sedatives, including an organ-independent metabolism and rapid and predictable onset and recovery. Furthermore, remimazolam shows less cardiovascular-inhibitory effects than other anesthetics. Atrial flutter is a form of cardiac arrhythmia that is associated with serious health-related outcomes and a substantial economic burden. Acute onset of atrial flutter can cause cardiac dysf...
