A novel approach to attribute responsible physicians using inpatient claims
CONCLUSIONS: We provide a robust method to attribute physicians to patients, which is a necessary tool to understand physician-level variation in quality of care within the inpatient acute care setting. PCSK9 and Cardiovascular Disease in Individuals with Moderately Decreased Kidney Function

Impact of postoperative acute kidney injury on short-term outcomes of patients with Bentall surgery for any reason
CONCLUSION: Patients undergoing Bentall surgery who postoperatively developed AKI showed significantly higher morbidity and mortality. AKI points out to be an early predictor for poor outcomes. Five-Year Outcome after Off-Pump or On-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting in Elderly Patients.
CONCLUSIONS: In elderly patients ≥75 years, the five-year survival rates as well as the combined outcome of death, myocardial infarction and repeat revascularization were similar after on-pump and off-pump CABG. Incomplete revascularization was associated with a lower five-year survival rate, irrespective of the type of surgery.
