Clinical profile and outcome of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome in hemodialysis patients
The objective of this study is to characterize the factors predisposing to the development of PRES in patients on MHD. We performed a retrospective analysis in patients of MHD who were diagnosed with PRES between August 1, 2013, and July 31, 2015. Those with a history of cerebrovascular accidents/stroke, and epilepsy were excluded. We analyzed the clinical details, course, and laboratory data. ANCA associated vasculitis - Evaluation of diagnosis, treatment and outcome in a group of 68 patients
Conclusions: Significant differences exist between GPA and MPA at the initial presentation that can predict the evolution of the disease. The management of patients with ANCA-associated vasculitides is difficult and marked by the adverse effects of the therapy.
