Acute Occupational and Physical Therapy for COVID-19 Patients: A Retrospective Cohort Study
In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the novel coronavirus strain SARS-CoV2 (the virus causing COVID-19) a global pandemic.24 The severity of illness in those exhibiting symptoms ranges from mild (cough, shortness of breath, fatigue) to severe (acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), thrombosis, stroke, and death).4,11 Patients have also acquired acute polyradiculoneuritis (Guillain Barre syndrome) at a disproportionately high rate, contributing to functional limitations that require specialized and intensive rehabilitation.

E-114 Rescue suction mechanical thrombectomy of medium-small vessel occlusion in a pediatric patient presented with acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionEndovascular aspiration mechanical thrombectomy of MSVO is feasible in pediatric patients presenting with AIS and associated with good functional outcome. Additionally, when acute ongoing neurological deficit is present and CTA is inconclusive, a digital subtraction angiography is deemed needed to identify MSVO as the yields of CTA diminishes significantly beyond LVO. Randomization to Treadmill Training Improves Physical and Metabolic Health in Association with Declines in Oxidative Stress in Stroke
CONCLUSIONS: Six months of TM tends to be associated with increased functional capacity and reduced oxidative stress in chronic stroke survivors. Effects of therapeutic intervention on spatiotemporal gait parameters in adults with neurological disorder: systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: Sensory stimulation such as auditory and somatosensory stimulation while walking had the most significant effect on step length in adults with PD.
