The Combinations of the Patterns of Non-Adherence to Anti-Platelet Regimen in Stented Patients (PARIS) and Coronary Revascularization Demonstrating Outcome Study in Kyoto (CREDO-Kyoto) Thrombotic and Bleeding Risk Scores on Clinical Outcomes in Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction
Conclusion The combinations of the PARIS and CREDO-Kyoto risk scores might be useful for evaluating ischemic and bleeding risks in patients with acute MI undergoing primary PCI.PMID:37344423 | DOI:10.2169/internalmedicine.2117-23

Imaging diagnosis of intracranial atherosclerosis stenosis-related large vessel occlusion before and during endovascular therapy
We describe the diagnosis of intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis-related large vessel occlusion from the perspectives of “thrombus imaging,” “perfusion,” and “occlusion margin.”

A causal relationship between irritability and cardiovascular diseases: a Mendelian randomization study
CONCLUSION: Our findings support the first genetic evidence of the causality of genetically predicted irritability with the risk of developing into CVDs. Our results deliver a viewpoint that more early active interventions to manage an individual's anger and related unhealthy lifestyle habits are needed to prevent the occurrence of adverse cardiovascular events.PMID:37324625 | PMC:PMC10267866 | DOI:10.3389/fcvm.2023.1174329

Rescue therapy after thrombectomy for large vessel occlusion due to underlying atherosclerosis: review of literature
In this review article, we summarized the current advances in rescue management for reperfusion therapy of acute ischemic stroke from large vessel occlusion due to underlying intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis (ICAS). It is estimated that 24–47% of patients with acute vertebrobasilar artery occlusion have underlying ICAS and superimposed in situ thrombosis. These patients have been found to have longer procedure times, lower recanalization rates, higher rates of reocclusion and lower rates of favorable outcomes than patients with embolic occlusion. Here, we discuss the most recent literature regarding the use of glyco...

Effect of frailty on major bleeding in octogenarian patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention
CONCLUSIONS: Frailty is an independent predictor of major bleeding in patients undergoing PCI for acute coronary syndrome. Use of the P2Y12 inhibitor ticagrelor increases the risk of major bleeding in frail patients.PMID:37318490 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202306_32633
