Impact of COVID-19 pandemic lockdown on occupational therapy practice and use of telerehabilitation - A cross sectional study

What are Some Risk Factors for Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy Outcomes?
Discussion “Neonatal encephalopathy, manifesting as altered responsiveness, seizures, apnea and abnormal muscle tone and reflexes, resulting from hypoxic-ischemic injury is termed hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).” Neonatal encephalopathy can be associated with other problems including stroke, hemorrhage, infection, pre-term brain injury and hypoglycemia as some examples. Sometimes more than one of these entities occurs simultaneously such as hypoglycemia and HIE. Myoelectric Elbow-Wrist-Hand Orthosis for an Adolescent with Hemiparesis: A Case Report
Discussion This case report presents insights on why the patient was not as proficient and interested in using the orthosis at home and school. Recommendations to address these issues include peer modeling, community outings, early intervention, and the use of family-centered approaches. Future studies are also suggested to further understand MEWHO use and the considerations for successful orthotic management in this group of patients.

Neurologic Music Therapy Improves Participation in Children With Severe Cerebral Palsy
This study aimed to quantify improvements in participation, as well as complexity on task-related manual activities in children with severe bilateral CP. This analytic quasi-experimental study exposed 17 children with severe cerebral palsy to 13 NMT sessions to improve motor learning through therapeutic instrumental music performance (TIMP), using principally percussion musical instruments.
